Trackwork Rider

Ciaron Maher Racing are seeking experienced Track Work riders to join our friendly Cranbourne team.

The successful applicants will:

• Be able to ride 8 – 10 horses per morning
• Have knowledge and experience of horse training and handling methods
• Have proven ability to train and educate a variety of horses including those that are young & inexperienced, colts and seasoned racehorses in barrier education, jump outs and timed fast work.
• Must be able to work in a team and independently effectively and efficiently
• Proven reliable workers, with excellent horsemanship skills
• Be able to take instructions from various people and demonstrate a high level of communication
• Have knowledge of safe operation of all equipment and use of Personal Protective Equipment
• Have knowledge of Health & Safety obligations
• The role is Monday to Saturday 3:30am – 9:30am. This time is approximate and will vary depending on business needs.

There will be opportunities to attend race days

Shared staff accommodation may be available.
