Alabama Express x Suspicieuse

We were delighted to secure this high-quality colt from the outstanding draft of Yulong, a son of Alabama Express, whose influence continues to gather momentum. A Group 1 winner himself in the C.F. Orr Stakes, Alabama Express has made a fast and meaningful impact at stud, already producing elite performers, including VRC Oaks winner Treasurethe Moment, alongside an ever-growing list of stakes winners!

This colt is out of the French-bred mare Suspicieuse, a winner over 2000 metres and Listed-placed in France, and importantly a proven producer.

From just three foals to race, she produced our very own Dubious, a multiple stakes-winning two-year-old. He won the Group 2 Champagne Classic, along with running second in the Group 2 Danehill Stakes, and the Magic Millions 2yo Classic!

Suspicieuse is a half-sister to Sediciosa, winner of the Group 3 Prix de Royaumont, and the family has continued to thrive internationally through performers such as San Huberto, a Group 2 winner across Europe and Australia, who we also trained in his latter career.

Physically, this colt presents as a classic-style individual. He has a lovely walk, an athletic frame with plenty of scope, and plenty of leg underneath him. Coupled with a proven sire, a reliable producing mare, and a pedigree we have had direct success with, he shapes as an exciting racing prospect!
