How ownership works

Racehorse ownership is typically structured through shared ownership, where individuals or groups own a percentage of a horse. This allows you to be involved at a level that suits you.

What is ownership?

Racehorse ownership means owning a share in a horse that is trained, cared for and campaigned by CMR. You become part of the team behind that horse - sharing in the experience, the wins, the journey, and the story as it unfolds. Ownership connects you directly to the sport, from training track to race day.

Who is it for?

Ownership is for anyone who loves racing and wants to experience it from the inside.

That might be:

  • First-time owners curious about getting involved
  • Existing owners expanding their portfolio
  • Friends, families or business groups
  • Corporate and hospitality groups

You can own a small share or a larger percentage, whatever suits your goals and level of involvement.

How does it work?

The process is simple and guided by our team:

  • We match you with an ownership opportunity that suits your goals
  • Your share is set up and registered
  • Your horse enters training with CMR
  • You receive regular updates, insights, media and invitations to race days and events

Throughout the journey, our team supports you with clear communication, expert advice, and industry-leading owner experiences.

Pricing and availability are discussed privately to ensure suitability.

Why we Like this Horse

This colt has all the qualities we look for in an early-running prospect. He is an athletic, professional and forward type with plenty of presence, combining strength and balance with the physical attributes that clearly point to speed.

He is by Farnan, one of Australia's most exciting young stallions. A Golden Slipper winner himself, Farnan has made a bright start to his stud career, already producing Group 3 winner North England and an increasing number of stakes performers, highlighting his ability to pass on his precocity and natural speed.

His dam, Maid of Ore, was a talented and durable performer, winning eight races and earning black-type placings during her racing career. The family continues to strengthen through the deeds of her relatives, including multiple Group winner and Group 1-placed Coeur Volante, one of the most exciting mares of her generation.

Physically, this colt looks every inch a sprinting prospect. He is sharp, athletic and mature for his age, giving the impression of a horse capable of getting up and going early while still having the scope to develop further with time.

With a Golden Slipper-winning sire, a proven racemare as his dam and a family producing elite performers, this colt offers an exciting blend of speed, precocity and pedigree.

Training & Development

We currently have several Farnans in the stable and have been extremely impressed with what we have seen from the sire's progeny to date. A Golden Slipper winner and one of the most exciting young stallions in the country, Farnan has made a strong start at stud, particularly with his juvenile runners. He currently boasts a 41.5% runners-to-winners strike rate and has already produced nine stakes performers and four Group winners. Among his headline performers are Ninja, winner of the Group 2 Hobartville Stakes, along with King Of Pop, North England and Recuperato.

His dam, Maid of Ore, was a talented and durable race mare who won eight races, including metropolitan victories, and earned two black-type placings during her racing career. She is by Duporth, a broodmare sire whose daughters have produced winners at an impressive rate, including stakes performers such as Bon's A Pearla, Oh Too Good and Romantic Choice.

The pedigree is further strengthened by Maid of Ore's close relationship to Shanina, the dam of Coeur Volante. One of the standout fillies of her generation, Coeur Volante won multiple stakes races, including the Group 3 Mannerism Stakes, which she captured by an impressive four lengths. Her record also includes victories in the Thousand Guineas Prelude and the Group 3 Scarborough Stakes, while she was Group 1 placed against elite company.

Physically, this colt shares many of the qualities we have come to admire in the Farnans already in the stable. He is sharp, athletic, professional and forward, with the look of a natural sprinting type. An eye-catching individual with an attractive head and strong presence, he carries himself with confidence and possesses the physical attributes that suggest natural speed and early-running potential. Combining an exciting young sire, a proven racemare and a family producing elite performers, he offers a compelling blend of pedigree and physique.
