Lucky Vega was a high-class two-year-old, winning the Group 1 Phoenix Stakes at the Curragh, and has already established himself as a sire of quality performers, including precocious fillies such as Group 2 winner Within The Law, along with a growing list of winners and stakes performers. By Lope de Vega, an elite sire in both hemispheres, Lucky Vega consistently passes on early speed and strength, traits well suited to Australian racing conditions, while also offering appeal as a great sire of fillies to date.

This filly is out of Masikota, a daughter of the exceptional Street Cry, one of the most influential broodmare sires of the modern era. The pedigree deepens through the female line, with the second dam Cheyenne’s Star, by Montjeu, a half-sister to Group 1 winner LINKY DINK. The third dam GIMMICK is from the same immediate family as CLEARLY INNOCENT, winner of the Group 1 Kingsford-Smith Cup, and SALE OF CENTURY, winner of the Group 1 Rosehill Guineas.
