This colt is by the ill-fated Wootton Bassett out of Waafiya, a Snitzel mare from a deep family.

Wootton Bassett is an established leading stallion in both hemispheres. He continues to sire elite runners at the highest level, with 75 Stakes Winners and 19 Group 1 winners worldwide!

His Australian-bred progeny are already making a significant impact, and we have had success with the breed through Group 1 Sires Produce Stakes second-place getter State Visit and Group 2 Stutt Stakes winner West Of Swindon. While his European runners include Almanzor, Audarya, Al Riffa, Henri Matisse, and Camille Pissarro, highlighting his ability to sire elite performers, he is a sire of sires.

This colt is out of Waafiya, by Snitzel, who is the broodmare sire of nearly 50 individual stakes-winners! The strength of this pedigree runs deep in the female line. Waafiya is out of the exceptional racemare You’re So Good, who won the Listed MVRC Alexandra Stakes and was runner-up in the Group 1 VRC Australian Guineas, retiring with earnings exceeding $300,000. She has already produced multiple winners, including Amigo, a stakes-performed sprinter who placed in the Gr 3 Manfred Stakes.

Deeper still, he comes from the same family as the outstanding second-place finisher in the Group 1 Blue Diamond Stakes, Group 3 winner Rocketing By, and Group 1 TJ Smith winner Melito, who was also a remarkable runner.

Typical of the Wootton Bassett progeny, he has a lovely head, good bone, a great shoulder, and is well-proportioned all around.
